Welcome to our new Community Website!

Aloha!  This website is dedicated to and for the neighborhood along and adjacent to Hiona Street in Holualoa.

My name is Scott Mercer and I am a volunteer neighbor who has set up this website to help others within our neighborhood interact, communicate and support each other in the effort to keep our street looking good, support our fellow neighbors, enhance communication and maintain the entrance to our street from the upper road. 

Maintenance of the entrance is very important - not only aesthetically for property values, but also for safety.  Whether you contribute by sending money for maintenance or for additional donations, they are all used in the same way. 

Please do register with this website if you have not done so already as it is important for us all to work as a safe and friendly community for the betterment of each other.

When you register you can even include your pets!  This can be good if one of your furry family members lost or needs help finding home.  

This website can be a resource for contacts within our community and if there are any that I have not already listed, please let me know and I can add them.

Note: We are a community of neighbors and this website is for neighbors along Hiona Street.  Having had zero interest in members of the community joining as board members to keep the former association alive, this is no longer an Association website.  I have uploaded documents from the association for your reference and will be uploading more over the next few weeks.  

My two (or more) bits:

I wish to convey that our last two neighborhood socials have been a great way to keep in touch, share ideas, contractor names, etc., exchange information, and has been wonderful to get to know each other. 

We can be good to each other, support each other, and maybe even get things we want if we approach things the right way.  Let's all work together to make this a nice neighborhood to live in.

If any of you would like to contribute to this website - whether it be pictures, or a shout out that you have tons of fruit you need to give away, please let me know.

Finally, 
At this time we have a neighbor who is contributing his own money to update the road entrance - and any moneys in the coffers at this time will go to them to reimburse them for their generosity.  Please continue to donate as you see fit.  Currently the maintenance fees are around 4.5k per year.
